10:00 Hotel lobby meeting point for the transfer to Chapala.
11:15 We will begin the tour at the González Gallo Cultural Center, a beautiful historic building that once housed Chapala’s first railway station.
11:45 We will then head to the Chapala boardwalk (malecón), where we’ll take a walk and learn more about the town’s history, local anecdotes, and some of the notable figures who once lived in this beautiful place.
12:00 Caminaremos por el “Muelle del amor” hasta llegar a donde se ubica el antiguo faroque señalaba la ruta a las embarcaciones que transitaban por el Mar Chapálico.
12:10 Nuestra caminata nos lleva a conocer algunos de los edificios históricos que han sido parte del desarrollo de este lugar, el edificio donde se localizó Hotel Arzápalo, el antiguo Hotel Nido, la Parroquia de San Francisco de Asís.
12:40 We will then head to Ajijic, a Pueblo Mágico town, where we’ll enjoy its picturesque streets and charming spots.
13:00 We will visit the Parish of San Andrés to learn about its history and architecture. From there, we’ll continue to the “Wall of the Dead” (Muro de los Muertos), a representation inspired by the pre-Hispanic tzompantli.
13:20 We will walk to the main square to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, and then visit the Ajijic Cultural Center, where we’ll admire the mural that tells the story of this charming town.
13:45 We will make our way to the boardwalk (malecón), along a route where we’ll see a variety of murals created by local artists, as well as countless shops and art galleries featuring crafts and handmade pieces.
14:00 Enjoy stunning views and the serenity of Lake Chapala during our walk along the malecón.
